The 2017 AWS Commercial and Amateur Wine Competition was conducted October 31 - November 1. The AWS, the largest consumer based wine organization in the U.S. has conducted this prestigious wine competition annually for over 40 years.

The Winery at Marjim Manor wins awards at the 2016 American Wine Society (AWS) Commercial Wine Competition.

Lord of the Manor won a Silver Medal and won the “Best of Category” for best Native Grape Wine.

Starlight won a Silver Medal

The American Wine Society (AWS) Commercial Wine Competition was conducted in Costa Mesa on November 2-3.

Applegria wins Best Sweet Sip at the 2016 Taste of Lockport!

Applegria is a blend of apple, peach and pear wine.

New York State Fair held its 2016 Wine Competition on July 13. The Winery at Marjim Manor submitted six wines and won six medals.

Applegria , a blend of apple, peach and pear wine, won a gold medal.

Silver medals were awarded to Starlight, Pear Made in Heaven and Cordially Yours.

Peach for the Stars and Cordelia’s Desire received bronze medals.

Katapalooza received a Double Gold Medal, Best Fruit Wine at the 2014 New York State Fair Competition.

Awards were given to 330 commercial wines and spirits after judging that took place at the State Fairgrounds in Syracuse. Professional judges from throughout the East Coast judged 43 entries to have earned the highest designation, double gold.

In addition to the High Honor for Marjim Manor, 7 other wineries on the Niagara Wine Trail received medals.

The judges and State Fair Attendees tasted New York State wines and fruit juices from across 66 categories. Resulting from the competition, Niagara Wine Trail wineries were honored with a number of Gold, Silver and Bronze awards.

This year, competition was keen with over 3,000 wines entered by almost 700 wineries from 15 countries and all 50 states (a first!) and nine Canadian provinces. Wines from the 105 New York Wineries and 561 non-NY wineries were judged by 56 of the world's top judges from 10 countries and 10 states.

A record number of over 2,300 wines from 470 wineries, representing 44 states and 14 countries took part this year. A panel of judges from the USA, as well as France and Canada, were picking out the best of the best!

Congratulations to Margo Sue Bittner, who was presented with the Distinguished Toastmaster award during a reception at the Winery at Marjim Manor on Friday, July 18, 2008. The DTM is Toastmasters International’s highest recognition.

This award honors women who are the chief executive, president or founder of a company or business venture that they helped start, build or significantly grow.

Margo Sue Bittner is the
